A CHARMING VINTAGE SNEAK

 

 

some instagram snaps of the day. this was suuch a fun shoot, we had so many beautiful things to play with. this was another team effort with the amazing photographer Valerie Petralia who recently introduced me to Public Image who graciously let us borrow the lovely vintage dress to style and shoot. when i stopped by the hip little shop i found a perfect pair of glittery peep-toes (which came home with me - the good deal was un - deniable) and was completely in love with the place. you'll have to check it out, it's full of hidden treasure. we also shot some unbelievable handmade pieces by the incredibly talented Maddie Flanigan. this girl is insanely good, it's hard to imagine without checking out her work.

my gorgeous friend, Monica, came down to visit from Pittsburgh last month and i was immediately thinking of styling her the moment she told me she was planning to come. 

she's a smart, goofy, free, funny spirit in a model's body.. and i knew she would be perfect to shoot in some pretty beachwear around ft. lauderdale.

one of the biggest problems for women (and men!) in their personal style is that they don't know or understand what their correct size is. i mean, let's be honest, wearing shit too small for you is not helping the situation.. and guys! stop wearing suits that are too. big. it's horrible, awful, painful really. and i'm not judging, just trying to help. i'm definitely guilty of this at times, but i'm aware and that's the first step. oh, and i blame it on the fact that i don't have my own body scanner. digital body scanners are going to seriously help this worldwide (excuse me, mainly nationwide) epidemic. you know those europeans know how to fit a suit - we need them. these scanners size you up in about 10 to 12 seconds, giving you your exact measurements almost immediately. pretty much like the ones at target australia over here. i mean, the possibilities!! target will have better fitting clothing for you in no time, basically giving everyone the treatment of retail royalty. and who will all be looking.. fabulous. work it now, girl.

AT WORK

mmm, colorcolorcolor. today at work i put together some looks and realized i like me some bright color these days! and it helps that American Apparel has amazing choices and variations. summer is just around the corner but here in Miami, it's basically a way of life. so dress like it people! :)
